Canister Vacuums

Canister vacuums are great for cleaning floors and carpets. Most canister vacuums are pretty light so they’re usually good for cleaning on stairs as well. All canister vacuums are very easy to move around the house and you don’t have to worry about the vacuum tipping over while you’re cleaning. However, canister vacuums differ in their cost, their weight, and their power (suction). Let’s take a look at a few models.

When you consider price and performance The Hoover WindTunnel is one of the best canister vacuums on the market. This vacuum isn’t the most powerful or the cheapest vacuum but for the money, it works very well. A few of the best features of The Hoover WindTunnel are it’s bagless design, the HEPA filter, and the telescoping wand that will allow you to reach hard to get to places in your home.

Another great canister vacuum is the Miele Plus Compact Canister. This vacuum is lighter then most canister vacuums and it filters allergens very well. So, if you have allergies and/or you need to clean stairs, this may be the perfect vacuum for you. It doesn’t come with a floor brushroll so this vacuum is best for just cleaning bare floors. However, you can purchase a floor brushroll extra. Also, this vacuum is a little expensive but most owners of it think the cost is well worth it.

A couple other good canister vacuums that are inexpensive are the Eureka Mighty Mite (perfect for small living areas) and Panasonic MC-4620 (cheap but pretty effective).

There are many different types of canister vacuums that you can buy. The vacuums are separated by their weight, their suction, and their cost. You should consider all these factors when looking to buy a canister vacuum cleaner.  When they have these characteristics, they usually get good vacuum cleaner reviews. Some canister vacuums you may want to consider are The Hoover WindTunnel, the Miele Plus Compact Canister, the Eureka Mighty Mite, and the Panasonic MC-4620.
