Hepa Vacuum Cleaners-Are The Worth It?
Hepa Vacuum Cleaners are great because they filter out most of the harmful particles that would usually pass through a vacuum cleaner back out into the air. This is important for all people but it’s especially helpful for people with allergies and asthma.
Hepa stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Air. Hepa vacuums will remove 99.7% of all particles that are at least .3 microns in size. This means that the majority of anything that’s harmful to humans will be filtered out by a vacuum cleaner with a Hepa filter.
Going one step beyond the Hepa vacuums are the vacuums with ULPA filters. These vacuums filter nearly 100% of particles that are .12 microns or larger. This covers just about anything a vacuum will ever be asked to clean.
Of course Hepa vacuum cleaners are more expensive than other vacuums and ULPA vacuums are the most expensive of all. Luckily, for normal cleaning that takes in homes, ULPA filters are not needed. However, the extra money spent on a Hepa vacuum is well worth it.
When looking at Hepa vacuums you have to be sure to choose a real-Hepa vacuum and now a Hepa-like vacuum. The real-Hepa is the only one that you can trust to do its job.
Some of the better Hepa vacuums on the market today are Miele Red Velvet HEPA Vacuum Cleaners (canister vacuum), the Sebo Vacuums – X4, X5 Upright Automatic (upright vacuum), and Dirt Tamer Deluxe HEPA (cordless, handheld vacuum).
For people with allergies and other breathing problems, Hepa vacuums are great. Hepa vacuums filter most if not all of the bad particles out of the air. These vacuums cost more money but they are well worth the cost.
